Paramount Theatre, Port Arthur, exterior, 1948

The Paramount Theatre in Port Arthur (now Thunder Bay) opened on December 27, 1948. It was considered a modern facility, with special seats for the hard-of-hearing.  The original projector, though not in use, still resides in the Projection booth in the Upper Theatre.
